San Francisco Treat

California, here I come. Going on vacation, tomorrow. Gonna have fun. I told my family that when we get up in the sky I plan to announce "So long suckers!" And wave good bye!

I guess I'm just reading Salon lately. The semester is over and I'm just tryin' to chill. One of my favorite lines from this speech:

"We're seeing unfold a contemporary example of the age old ambition of power and ideology to squelch and punish journalists who tell the stories that make princes and priests uncomfortable."

Another favorite is:

"And if that's editorializing, so be it. A free press is one where it's okay to state the conclusion you're led to by the evidence."

So thought provoking for a cool, sunny, May day. :)
