John Brown

I caught the tail end of a show on a guy named John Brown on the Diane Rehm Show I seem to remember learning about this abolishionist in some public school history textbook but the memory is foggy. I found the show to be very interesting but soon forgot about it until later that day when my little girl came home singing "John Brown's baby had a cold upon his chest" to the tune of the battle hymn of the republic. I took it to be a sign to put a link to the show up on my blog so I can take a listen at a later time. Enjoy!

"finding" vs. "looting"

Typical but nonetheless disturbing. So I quess, black people loot, white people find. Oh I just checked the third link on this post. It has now been taken off the internet. How convenient, but I see they left the "looting " caption up-the creeps!

Fiddling while Rome burns.

It's good to know we can count on our great leader during times of trouble.
