Computer Lab instructions- English 005 & 006

Step 1:
Turn on your computer and login with the computer number taped on the front of your computer screen. Example: 2013-13

Step 2:

Open up two windows in Internet Explorer (IE). Start by clicking on the blue E icon from your start menu. When a window loads a web page: hit: ctrl + n.

Step 3: In one window enter this address:
http://www.sonicamigos.com/lisa/blogwork3.html

In the other enter this one: Blogger.com

Step 4: Click on the window marked: http://www.sonicamigos.com/lisa/blogwork3.html
Choose an assignment and complete the reading or activity that is included. When you have an idea of what you might write. Go to the next step.

Step 5:
Click on the window that has: blogger.com
Enter your username and password to get to your "dashboard"

Step 6:
Click on the + sign and post your thoughts to your blog. Don't forget to hit the publish/post button to make sure it goes up on your blog.


Trick of the trade:

Save your blog as a Word document first!

Open the Word program and open a New document. Write your blog here and save it to a floppy or the desktop of your computer. That way you can copy and paste the text that you have written to your blog and you will be less inclined to lose your written work if you save it in an alternative format.
